WHERE LIGHT MEETS COLOR
When new architecture is created in old urban districts, it doesn’t always harmonize. So that makes it all the more appealing when a building and its surroundings interact as well as they do with MAC567.
While the development of the complex suggests a certain continuity with the surrounding urban fabric, its outward appearance is new: the façades are covered in panels of coloured glass, the different shades of which reflect those of nearby buildings, giving them a contemporary feel. The innovative transparent panels ensure perfect protection from the sun, while still allowing daylight to filter through to the interior of the building.
THE CAFÉ – FINE FOOD IN AN ELEGANT ATMOSPHERE
One particular highlight is the café in MAC7. It is open from morning till night and offers a wide range of carefully selected regional and international dishes. The excellent food is complemented by the elegant atmosphere of the café. A delight for employees, guests and customers alike.
MAC567 – A SUSTAINABLE WORK ENVIRONMENT
MAC567 is the first project in Italy to obtain the BREEAM® certificate for energy-efficient buildings. Short for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, this British sustainability certificate is the most widely recognized certification system for sustainable construction. It includes not only the phases from planning to implementation to use, but the entire life cycle of a building.
Energy Class B 10.96 KWh/m2a
The MAC567 building complex was designed by the prestigious Berlin-based architecture, urban development and design firm Sauerbruch Hutton. Like the work of all renowned international architects who offer sustainable, customised solutions without ever losing sight of the surrounding fabric, the MAC567 complex is the result of working closely with the immediate environment.
The interior of the complex denotes intelligent use of state-of-the-art technology. The wide, well-lit reception areas provide employees, clients and visitors with a first taste of the bright, elegant and warm atmosphere to be found inside these buildings. The furniture and fittings are made of top quality materials and the parks and green spaces, the café and the fitness studio offer pleasant opportunities for a break from the daily work routine.
Sauerbruch Hutton’s architecture has won numerous national and international awards.
